I just recently discovered this company so I don't have much information on them yet. It appears they were not a large company and were not in operation very long. So additional information might be difficult to come by. Here is what I know so far. The Sportrailer Manufacturing Company was located in Detroit, Michigan. They manufactured a lightweight aluminum camper weighing less than 1000 pounds. The trailer's lid flipped open to the back side forming the floor to the lower level while the canvas tenting opened automatically. This lower portion formed the living area while the bed was on the trailer itself, typical design of the campers of the day. The trailer came equipped with several accessories. The company most likely started manufacturing of this camping trailer in 1953, the same year Heilite started operations, and continued to at least 1954 or 1955. I have not found any literature after 1954.
