The Portable Camp Company was among the first manufacturers of tent trailers that emerged in 1916. They were located in Detroit, Michigan. Their trailer sold for $200 with pneumatic tires, $190 with solid rubber.
I only recently discovered this company even existed as literature is very sparse. In fact I have only found one advertisement and two other references to the company. Currently I have no knowledge regarding the founders or the demise of the company. One reference was found in a sporting magazine from 1917 so I know they were around for the first couple of years, at least. Contact me if you have any information regarding this company.
